The system’s architecture is a mix of Unix            and IBM mainframe applications. Part of the application uses the Rules-Based Claims System from Pega. Applications communicate with each            other via WebSphere MQ Queues .
Senior Test Consultant – GMAC-ResCap (2006-2007)            Provided performance testing (using LoadRunner) & assisted with analyzing the result to pinpoint potential problem areas and provide corrections            & tuning suggestions. Also provided automated functional testing (using QuickTest Professional). Designed test strategy, test plan, performed            test execution and gathered metrics to ensure requirements are met. The application under test (AUT) is a customized application from a 3rd party            Business Process Management software built on rules-based automated decision engine; written in Java and uses XML data structure, generates            Java at runtime, runs on a Tomcat server, and connects to a SQL Server database. Other external applications connect to this AUT via the SOAP            connectivity. The project is managed using Agile Methodology.
Senior Test Consultant – Brady Corporation (2006-2006)            Successfully implemented an EDAF initiative using QuickTest Professional against a custom .NET Windows-based application and ensure a               smooth knowledge transfer to the staff.
Senior Test Consultant – United Health Technologies (2005-2006) Member of the Performance Engineering Services group: provide performance testing to internal/external applications (of various system architectures) which includes test strategizing, planning, execution & reporting using Mercury Performance Center. Senior Test Consultant – GMAC-RFC (2004-2005) Provided functional testing (automation, using WinRunner, and manual) for multiple projects for a Mortgage Loan web-application. This application is customized & hosted for more than 15 external mortgage clients. Designed test plan, performed test execution and gathered metrics to ensure requirements are met. The application under test is written in Java Scripts, .NET and ASP that interfacing with an Oracle database 9i. Performance testing was also provided as needed using LoadRunner.
Test Coordinator – GMAC-RFC (2004-2004) Coordinated an upgrade schedule for all division wide applications that interfacing with Oracle 8i to Oracle 9i. Worked closely with 25 business leads to identify all impacted applications and track their testing progress as their respective databases got upgraded. Created a tracking & reporting mechanism using Excel to provide daily status of the entire project to the project manager and management teams.
Senior Test Analyst – Thrivent Financial for Lutherans (2003-2004) Coordinated test schedules with the project leads, designed & implemented test plans, test cases, test scenarios. Improved the testing process. Worked closely with business analysts to ensure requirements & testing coverage are met. The application under test is written in VisualBasic/C++ and interfaces with a DB2 database which runs on an IBM mainframe.
Senior Automated Test Consultant – Net Perceptions (2003) Successfully implemented an Event-Driven Automation Framework (EDAF) using WinRunner 7.5 and trained developers on its use in a short-time period (6 weeks). The EDAF enables developers to create & maintain test suites, test scenarios using MS Excel (or delimited) files with minimal knowledge of WinRunner; it also provides overall status report of the executed test suites. The application under test is written in Java and the back-end database is Oracle.

Provide technical guidance to other team members. Suggest process improvements when possible. Estimate test effort and coordinate test schedule with overall project schedule. Enhanced and trained team members on Event-Driven Automation Framework (EDAF) using Rational Robot/TestManager for GUI testing. Mentor and develop team members and conduct performance reviews.

The application runs on multiple platforms, Windows NT and Sun Solaris, using CORBA technology. The client is a Java based application interfacing with a back-end database. The database running on NT is MS SQL Server 7.x and the database running on Sun Solaris is Oracle 8(i). Wrote many scripts for automating the testing on the NT and Solaris systems.
